Connection

Why do we connect with some people more than others? How is it that complete strangers become close friends? What is this connection thing all about? It always works both ways. You recognise something in each other. You laugh at the similarities. You accept the differences. But there is this connection. A real connection. What is it all about?

I guess it depends on your outlook on life.

If you're more scientific, you might say it's a chemical reaction sparked by similarities in personality.

If you're a psychologist, you'd probably think the person is meeting needs your mother or father failed to meet when you were a child.

If you're spiritual, you'll think the person is your soulmate or past life buddy.

I think I'the spritual kind. I was noodling around with the idea of all the people you get that special connection feeling with throughout your life are kind of part of a larger spiritual entity. Sounds a bit silly during daylight hours but it's a fun late night thought.

What I mean is... like you were all part of a really cool cosmic slumber party with movies and pillow fights and now you've all been sent home but sometimes you bump into each other but you kind of remember the pillow fight... fuck me I've really out-done myself trying to sound gay, haven't I.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Think it's definitely all about the personality thing and 'getting' each other or whatever. I like Dina's spiritual explanation.

And by the way, you are so gay. Let me know when the next slumber party is. ;-)

I'm gay? Two words for you, Kat: Girl. Crush. :)

Yeah. Let me know when you want to go to the Colombian together for a drink. Ha

Look, you. Pretty soon I'm going to come up with a really quick-witted comback to that comment. Just leave me with it for a bit...

This quick-witted comeback sure is taking a bitch of a long time to come to me. Think I'm going to give up.

It's good that you do. You can't beat the best. ;-)
