Dragon Dreaming, Canberra 2008
A doof, this weekend, just out of Canberra. It's called Dragon Dreaming. The weather has turned warm and there will be outdoor dancing and loads of friends. And the soft luminous blue interior of our tent. Like returning to a warm and soft and blue snuggly womb.
And a return to something earthy. Hugs. Laughs. What was your name again? And typically, friends who say they want to one day experience the outdoor party scene do not fllow through. Limp dicks that they are.
Today was pretty crap. Love the hard work and really like the good team at The Big Pointy Building... with one exception.
Ooh... gossip? Not from me.
Am looking forward to this party. Need some mental re-adjustment.

Sounds like fun. Wish I had known about out-door doofing whilst living in Syd. Have a good stomp for me.
..until I read your blog I had never heard the word doof !
But lying in tents, meeting with friends, making and listening to music is one of the best things...
in this beginning of winter I'd love some sunny tent life now.
...have a lovely weekend Lee xx
I think around the time you were here, Kat, I was still at 3D, still going to the same clubs you were and looking for the outdoor party scene. So glad I found it. I will definitely have a stomp for you.
Hello Isabelle. It's an odd word, is doof. I forget how silly it is until someone pays attention to it. There is so much colour and magic at these parties. So much fun.
Leaving tomorrow morning (Saturday), will have the tent set up early afternoon, will be on the dancefloor mid-afternoon. I do hope it's a lovely weekend, thank you.
Back from a very cool place in a gorgeous forest. A bit shattered but in a good way. Danced with heaps of friends (including the guy behind me in the photo for this post. Hadn't realised it was Max until posting it. Funny) and made some new friends. I had about exactly as much fun as I'd hoped to... maybe even more. Photos and words later. Food now.
Love that pic, love the shades !
Y - The pic looks like I am just being proud of my Buddha shirt (which I do like a lot), but if you look closely you'll see that I was very recently soaked to the skin with water and I was trying to dry the shirt out whilst not looking sheepish. Glasses are worn with irony... although I did get attached to them.
crap. Now it looks like the photo was taken at Dragon Dreaming. It was from Rainbow Serpent earlier in the year. Just a random doof shot with me in it because I'm so rarely spotted in doof photos.
I need some mental re-adjustment. Did it work?
Hey Gin. It worked while I was there. You can't help but be in good spirits when surrounded by so many good people. There is a vibe. You forget the other world for the duration. There are different rules, different priorities. You're with the trees and the elements. The air is different. You use fire to keep warm. You feel the earth on your bare feet. And there's dancing, so much dancing.
So yeah, it worked.
